Silicone Spatula and Scraper Spoon

Silicone Spatula and Scraper Spoon

This Silicone Spatula and Scraper Spoon is something we discovered while looking for double ended spoons (careful with those Google search terms on this one). It seems a good double ended spoon is a rarity in the cutlery world but they do exist. And this flexible flatware seems delightful.

This bright green silicone scraper is 12 inches long and has a double-ended silica gel scraper translucent and a silica gel scraper. We said it twice cause there is two of them 🙂 A sturdy nylon core ensures the strength of spatula and good grips.

Whether it is for mixing and baking or using in Teflon frying pans this double ended tool should do the job. It’s multitasker cutlery.

We went looking for a “Double Ended Spoon”, don’t ask why. But this is what we found from our friends at “Joseph Joseph“, who make incredible stuff.

Made of nylon that is heat resistant up to 480 degrees F / 240 degrees C and is of course completely dishwasher safe. This isn’t just two spoons, it’s a slotted spoon, solid spoon, spatula, turner, and a cutting tool (see the serrations on the side of it?). This is a spoon, knife, scooper extravaganza of cutlery.

This is a multi-tasker worthy of the name. It’s great in the kitchen for working in Teflon pans and even better for camping and hiking!

Eating Soup With A Fork

Illustrator and animator Hanna Norberg-Williams made this short film about neurodivergent people called “Eating Soup With A Fork.”

We here at the Cutlery Review love cutlery and cutlery related things that support people and culture. And this fits this bill. It’s not just all about forks, knives and spoons. And it’s not just about food. It’s about people.

Hanna’s comment on the film: “Eating soup with a fork makes no sense as a concept – it’s using the completely wrong tool for an otherwise simple task.”

This film’s animation style and sound design is a delight. And a great insight into how some other people interact with and see the world. We are all different, we are all unique and we are all wonderful.

Best Ramen Fork? Best Ramen Spoon? Scoon?

So much confusion here. Is the best choice for eating ramen chopsticks and a spoon? Or is it a fork? Or is it a spork? Or a Scoon?

Your first choice is this wonderful piece of cutlery that I would classify as a Foon from the Museum of Modern Art. The Ramen Fork/Spoon or Sugakiya spork is made from stainless steel and will handle all your Ramen eating needs. Made of dish-washer safe stainless steel it is 7 3/4″ long x 2″ wide x 1 1/2″ diameter.

Scoon

Your second choice is the “Scoon” which is available at most Asian product Dollar stores. It’s plastic, it has holes in it to act as a strainer. It’s cheap. It’s flimsy. It’s cute. We can’t seem to find a reliable source online to order it, sorry.

You decide. The Flatware Decision is yours.
