WMF Nordic Flatware

WMF Nordic FlatwareWMF is a kitchenware (and more) company that was founded in Geislingen an der Steige Germany in 1853. And they seem to really have a good eye for cutlery design.

The Nordic Flatware set is made of a mirror polished and dishwasher safe 18/10 stainless steel. This is a 30 piece set with service for 6. The entire set includes six dinner knives, dinner forks, salad forks, dinner spoons and teaspoons.

I love the sleek design and that dinner knife has a great flair to it. And it’s a really good price too!

Yamazaki Aquatique ICE Cutlery

Yamazaki Aquatique ICE cutleryWe’ve looked at Yamazaki product’s before on this blog. They began making flatware in Tsubame, Japan in 1918. In the early 1930’s they were instrumental in the introduction of stainless steel into Japan.

So interestingly enough we have a Japanese company that has designed a European style cutlery set. The Aquatique ICE Cutlery set is a serving for one made of 5 pieces. The set includes a 7-inch salad fork, an 8-inch dinner fork, a 9-inch knife, an 8-inch soup spoon, and a 6-1/2-inch teaspoon

It is dishwasher safe 18/8 stainless steel with a lifetime warranty.

Steinbeisser High End Meal and Crazy Cutlery

Dutch studio Steinbeisser last Fall put on a $700 a plate event in Saratoga, California. Eight “Michelin Star chefs” prepared this one-night menu for only 60 people.

The highlight from my point of view is the amazing creative cutlery designs from their store Jouw, that we featured before.

I really like the Steampunk style fork and spoon…

But this time we get to see chefs and guest use the cutlery with amazing meals. A great combination of the different arts working together to one end goal.
