Strange it took us this long to happen upon the infamous Shovel Spoon and Fork. This fun flatware can really add to a dessert when you tell someone to dig in (I stole that pun).
This is the kind of cutlery that really adds a little flair and generates a lot of interest in a dish. The price is right and it’s too cute not to have. It is stainless steel but I would hand wash as it may form rust spots.
The Country Story Shovel Spoon and Fork
I have a special place in my heart for enamelware. It reminds me of the smalls pots and coffee cups my Grandmother used on the farm. And the design of these enamelware serving spoons from Crow Canyon fit the bill.
This flatware is a set of two 6-inch spoons that are oven, freezer and dishwasher safe. Two things to remember, they are metal inside so no microwave because cause they will spark (for that matter they might rust if you let them sit in water). And secondly that enamelware needs a little care, no smacking it around on pots and pans or it may chip. But that’s part of the down on the farm character.

Gold and black in the cutlery world is as hot as it gets. And Lekroch is not kidding around with this polished 18/10 stainless steel flatware set. It is completed electroplated with titanium metal , rustproof, high hardness, no distortion, Lead-free, Cadmium-free, Phthalate-free, BPA-free durable and eco-friendly.
This is one setting consisting of a 8 1/4″ dinner fork, 5 1/5″Dessert Spoon, 8 3/4″ dinner knife, and a 8 1/4″ Dinner spoon.
Word is that these are dishwasher safe but I would hand wash as the black coating on the handles could suffer.

What makes a Smart fork smart? What makes a dumb spoon dumb? Ummm…let’s answer the fork question.
This fork in particular is considered Smart because it will connect via Bluetooth to your phone or tablet and watch you eat. OK, not really watch you but it does track the number of “fork servings” (each time food is brought to the mouth) per minute. The idea is that the fork and your phone will track how much and how fast you eat and help you eat smarter. The fork will actually light up and vibrate when you are eating too fast.
Cyber Cutlery or Foolish Flatware? I’ll let you and your Smart fork decide between the two of you.
