An early version of this website was called LuckySpoon because well, I had a lucky spoon. And then years later there was another spoon that I began to hate, it’s bowl was too big. Developing a hatred or fondness for cutlery must be a sign of maturity? I was glad to see this tweet and learn I’m not the only one who can actually frown at flatware 🙂
A lot of cutlery isn’t dishwasher safe, especially anything with a color coating. We have looked at cutlery cleaners before but this one is more stand alone. This is the Joseph Joseph BladeBrush Knife and Cutlery Cleaner Brush. Goodness that’s a long name for a little kitchen flatware gadget.
It has bristles on both sides and a non-slip grip. Very handy for keeping on top of those dirty knives, forks and spoons in the sink.
And the brush itself is dishwasher safe! Ironic?

According to a wave of posts on Instagram, marble flatware is the rage this season. Marble cutlery has been around for a while and it’s usually a round handle of marbled plastic. This Dali Marble cutlery from Tomodachi has little more flair and interesting design to it.
The pyramid shape of the handles have make for easy handling and lay flat on the table. It is a 20 piece set which is service for four. This consists of 4 Dinner Knives, 4 Dinner Forks, 4 Dinner Spoons, 4 Salad Forks & 4 Teaspoons. It is made of 18/0 Stainless Steel but hand washing is recommended.
The Internet is alight with fevered discussions about how to organize your cutlery drawer. The picture above shows something we have never thought of. It’s a great way to fit two different sized spoons into the same spot. But the discussion continues on whether the forks go on the left or this question: “Hold up, do you place the head of the cutlery towards the drawer handle or the back of the drawer?”. So where do your forks, knives and spoons go to sleep? And what about all the other kitchen stuff?
