The famous Alton Brown introduced me to this amazing device and I can never have a proper kitchen setup without one again. It’s fits his rule of not being a “one use” kitchen tool as this thing can zest lemons, grate chocolate, shred ginger or what ever you can imagine. It can also take the skin off of your fingers pretty quick.

It’s made of 18/8 stainless steel and isn’t something you’ll need to sharpen. The blade is 8-1/2-inches long with an ergonomic black plastic handle. It’s of course dishwasher safe but make sure to hand wash the cover as it will melt in the dishwasher heat. And please make sure to use the cover when you leave it in the cutlery drawer, it will stay sharp and less likely to bite your fingers while rummaging!
