BLACK WOLF CUTLERY SET from Jason Momoa

BLACK WOLF CUTLERY SET from Jason Momoa

Do you recognize this masked man? Perhaps the post title gave it away? There’s something about celebrity cutlery that gets us excited here at the Cutlery Review. Maybe cause we get good feelings that someone on the big screen loves cutlery as much as us. One of us, one of us! OK, maybe not that much. But we like Jason Momoa and we like that he ate at our favorite sushi place when he was in town shooting a movie. But what about the flatware?

BLACK WOLF CUTLERY SET from Jason Momoa

“Designed for those who dine on the roam, the So iLL x On The Roam Black Wolf Cutlery Set includes a matte black titanium fork, spork (yeah, we did that), spoon, knife, and a small carabiner to help you keep them all in one place.”

So it looks to be Bring Your Own Cutlery (BYOC) for eating on the road. The 4 piece set is matte black titanium that comes with a carabiner. Being titanium it is dishwasher safe but that black matte will probably wear away making it look even more rugged and road worthy. And it has a tattoo! A engraved triangular tattoo pattern and On The Roam logo. So it’s basically Jason Momoa in cutlery form. We are good with that.

Binging with Babish: Chef Carving Fork

Well, he’s finally done it. Babish has released his own version of the infamous Jon Favreau’s Carving Fork from the movie “Chef” full backstory in the link. That carving fork has really sparked the imagination of many chefs out there and I think it has something to do with the scene in the movie with Scarlett Johansson, but maybe it’s just me.

So here is the Babish version of the Chef movie carving fork:

It’s got a cute logo of his bald head on the butt of the fork. It’s nice celebrity branded cutlery. This 6.5″ Stainless Steel Carving Fork should be hand washed to prevent rusting. It’s a pretty good price. Here is where you can buy it from him:

The real Chef movie fork.

Babish has a tattoo of a carving fork and it’s neither the one from the movie or the one he is selling (check it out over here). Jon Favreau actually gave Babish the real original fork. But if you want the real version of the fork from the movie, then that would be the Calphalon Contemporary 2 Piece Carving Set which you can buy from here: https://amzn.to/2GAG1DZ (when it’s available)

Hiware Matte Black Cutlery Set with Steak Knives – Perfect for Halloween

Hiware Matte Black Cutlery Set with Steak Knives

Halloween is upon us and this cutlery set looks perfect for the place setting of any slasher movie psycho killer. There is something about black matte flatware just just feels wrong in all the right ways and what really puts this set over the top is that steak knife. This cutlery says to you “I’m here to rip sh*t up!”.

The Hiware 24 Pieces Matte Black Silverware Set with Steak Knives looks to be a great value. Made of food grade anti-corrosion and anti-rust 18/10 stainless steel but not dishwasher safe. As with all matte flatware we recommend handwashing as over time you can lose the finish in a dishwasher. This is a 24-piece set for 4 that includes 4 salad forks, 4 dinner forks, 4 dinner knives, 4 dinner spoons, 4 teaspoons and additional 4 steak knives.

And four killer steak knives! “The sharp serrations that are easy to slice steaks or disassemble a turkey. The triple riveting handle is strong and durable even when cut hard, and the ergonomic design makes it very comfortable to hold.”

The Smiling Spoon by Aimie Botelho

The Smiling Spoon by Aimie Botelho

Aimie Botelho is a Artist and Blacksmith who came up with an interesting spoon design.

“The smiling spoon, and some process photos. I really, really enjoy how the little arms appear out of nowhere, formed by forging 2 dimples into the top of the bar and forcing the material downwards – no cutting involved. Steel is so. damn. neat.”

Check out more photos of this spoon and it’s creation on her Facebook page here
