Towle Living Wave Stainless Steel Flatware Set

Towle Living Wave Stainless Steel Flatware SetTowle have been Silversmiths since 1690 and we are just starting to look at their product line starting with the Living Wave stainless steel cutlery set.

It is a 42 piece flatware set with service for eight. This consists of a dinner fork, salad fork, dinner knife, dinner spoon and teaspoon. But wait there’s more! It also includes a large serving spoon and a large cold meat fork.

The bias cut at the end of the handle is a great dangerous looking  touch.  It is made of a heavy gauge 18/0 stainless steel that is dishwasher safe. But there are some reports of rusting, the key is not to let them touch in the dishwasher. This applies to all stainless steel cutlery.

Knork Curve Flatware in Matte Silver

Knork Curve FlatwareKnork has really been creating some great cutlery recently. The curved look of this flatware is pretty funky I must say. And the look of the hand forged 18/0 stainless steel really gives it some character.

That knife though, look at the wicked hook in the handle. It looks like a Kukri knife.

This is a set of 20 that are place settings for 5 people that consists of salad fork, dinner fork, knife, table spoon and dessert spoon. It of course is dishwasher safe.

Olababy Baby Training Spoon Teether

Does that look like celery to you? It looks like celery to me. This is the First Stage Baby Training Spoon Teether from Olababy. And by all accounts, it’s as good as it looks. A great meeting of form and function.

It’s a teether and a non-slip spoon for your baby to learn to eat by themselves safely. It is made of food grade silicone, 100% BPA Free and seems to be dishwasher safe as well.

Is the celery design intentional? I think so, here’s what Olababy has to say:

Fortessa Dragonfly 20-Piece Flatware Set

 

We’ve noticed a trend in “skinny” cutlery. Basically a long slender handled flatware seems to be the trend these days? And the Dragonfly 20-piece set by Fortessa is a good example of this. We haven’t looked at Fortessa before, they claim Fortessa tableware is used by over 70% of the Forbes Four and Five-Star Hotels in North America.

This 20 piece set consists of 4 each: table fork, salad/dessert fork, table knife, dessert/soup spoon, coffee/tea spoon. Of course it’s made of dish washer safe 18/10 stainless steel.  This is a truly full meal deal of cutlery that will cover all courses of a large meal. I really like the tiny fork and spoon!

And a cute little trademark stamp on each of them.
