Babish has a Tiny Whisk

Babish has a Tiny Whisk and he’s proud of it. We’ve talked about Babish and his Tiny Whisk before here at The Cutlery Review. And now he’s talking about it again with NYT Cooking in the video “10 Things Binging With Babish Can’t Cook Without” which is shown above. He starts talking about his Tiny Whisk at the 3:25 mark if you want to jump ahead. He also shows off his famous “Tiny Whisk Tattoo”!

We noticed he has a full set of whisks, he doesn’t discriminate. After looking all over at all types of whisks we feel this is the best match to his set. These are the HONBAY Mini Wire Kitchen Whisks.

But if you aren’t buying your whisks for Babish Cosplay (we know you are out there) and want something more kitchen worthy, we would suggest going with the DRAGONN Set of 3 Stainless Steel Whisks with Silicone handles as they are a little more serious.

Oreo Cutlery – The Cookie Fork

The Oreo Fork

So the video above was recently posted on Reddit. And being self proclaimed cutlery experts and cookie experts as well, we went digging to find this wonderful Oreo fork. And well….here’s what we did find:

BLUE OREO CREAM FILLED COOKIE DIPPER from Amazon.com

The Cookie dipper looks interesting and doesn’t do damage to the creamy filling. I guess it’s more like a cookie spoon?

Oreo Ultimate Dunking Set from Amazon.com

The Oreo Dunking set using a set of thongs and has a nice Oreo cookie holder for your mug o’ milk.

Torune Food Fork from Amazon.com

These forks are the closest we could find to the Oreo Fork in the video above. Googling hasn’t helped us either. We implore you, our readers, to leave comment below if you have found more info on the Oreo fork. We don’t want this to be another Nutella Knife situation!

OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Carving Fork for Turkey!

OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Carving Fork

It’s that time of year to carve up the bird. And you really do need a good fork to do that. Now Chef’s forks just don’t seem to have the sharp pointed tip and curve that the classic American carving fork has. And that you need!

And the OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Carving Fork is probably your best bet for being that carving and serving fork for this year’s turkey or baked tofu.

This fork is made of dishwasher safe stainless steel with a soft, comfortable, non-slip grip, even when wet. Those two sharp tines on the fork spear and hold the food firmly while carving and then with the curve allow for the serving of your sliced delight.

This is classic American cutlery, not those silly french cooking forks!

Vegeknife – The Vegemite Dual Blade knife

Vegemite toast knife

Right off the bat, let’s be clear that this was a limited edition and if your reading this you missed your chance to get one. But we are hoping the success means a return?

This interesting piece of custom cutlery was created to ease the suffering a cross-contamination when making Vegemite toast.

From Vegemite’s marketing manager Jacqui Roth:

“Aussies are opening up their jars of Vegemite to find that butter has somehow made its way in. We can’t have that. So, we’re introducing a solve – the limited-edition ‘Vegeknife’. The limited-edition Vegeknife is a dual headed cutlery breakthrough, with one end for butter and one end for Vegemite – so now, there’s no reason to get butter in the Vegemite jar.”

Much like the Nutella knife it was a limited edition piece of flatware made by and for marketing. Let’s hope it returns.
