It’s just one of those days here at the Cutlery Review. Normally we’d talk about some new fork, spoon or knife but today we are feeling a little left of center. Perhaps it’s the fall weather that has changed our moods. Everything looks a little strange without the sunlight of summer. And when we look down at our table setting of flatware, our eyes go out of focus and we only see the spoife, knork and foon.
Maybe we’ll be better next week.
Not sure what our fascination is with Everyday Cutlery Carry but it seems to be supported by what the market has for sale for us. I guess being prepared for any culinary adventure is a good thing.
Right up front let’s state that these are inexpensive and made of plastic. So that should set your expectations, they perform as they were designed and priced.
So one is a knife and one is a fork. Together they are Wonder Twins! OK, so together they are a pair of chopsticks.
Cute, effective and cheap. And you get what ever random color they have.

It’s turns out there is no Hebrew word for spork but they do have a great word that sums up all cutlery. Here’s a snippet from Haaretz.com:
“That acronym is sakum, which stands for sakin, kaf umazleg, “knife, spoon and fork.” Like “spork,” it doesn’t make the distinction between different kinds of spoons, with kaf, a soup spoon, tablespoon or serving spoon – basically a big spoon – standing in for both itself and its little sibling, the kapit, or teaspoon.”
