Fred’s Ting Ting Tongs Cymbal Monkey Salad Tongs

Fred Ting Ting Tongs Cymbal Monkey Salad Tongs

We have looked at some fun cutlery and gadgets from Fred and Friends. And I have to say when I first saw these Salad Tongs I wasn’t sure what the situation was. But the name “Ting Ting Tongs Cymbal Monkey Salad Tongs Cymbal Smashing Salad Servers” is not only fun to say but sums up their purpose entirely.

When supper is ready to serve and salad is on the menu, ring the monkey cymbals together to announce that the meal is to begin. Then let the kids have fun serving their own salad. And then I recommend putting the tongs back in kitchen when done serving if you want some peace and quiet 🙂

Artwork for Kitchen or Restaurant – Part One

Head West Canvas Art On the TableI have heard feedback that some of our readers come here looking for Cutlery themed artwork to decorate their kitchen or new restaurant. Finding flatware themed wall hanging art is a little difficult to find. So this week we are going to post about a couple of pieces that look pretty good to me.

The first is “Head West Canvas Art, On the Table” which has a classic art style named if I’ve ever heard one. This fork, knife and spoon is three separate 1.5 inch deep digitally printed canvas that each measure 8 x 20 inches. I believe that`s called a triptych?

PS – The title listing on Amazon says “Set of 2” but you do get three pieces according to a purchaser.

George Nelson Spoon Fork Clock – It’s Time to Eat!

George Nelson Spoon Fork ClockI am learning that a lot of the readers of this blog come here looking for ideas for their cafe or restaurant. We write for the cook at home and at work so I think in every case the products we look at will interest everyone. And I’m glad to say this is one of those products, but I will admit that I first thought this would look great in any cafe.

George Nelson Associates created the first clocks for Howard Miller in 1947. One of their first creations was the “Ball Clock”. This “Spoon Fork Clock” is following that style and still made by the company that started it all. It’s 16 inches wide and is made of real cutlery with the exception of the little fork and knife hands. It runs on one AA battery. This clock will always have you answering that the time is “Time to eat”.
