Does this product full under the category of Spork? It’s hard to say but it sure looks like a fun piece of multipurpose cutlery.
The Chork is a clever mix of chopsticks and a fork into one piece of flatware. It’s a disposable flatware product made of food grade high impact polystyrene that I would hope to see in my takeout from my favorite Asian restaurant. I’m pretty good at eating with chopsticks but serving food from the container to my plate has always been a problem and that fork would be handy.
It can be used as a fork, as cheater connected squeezable chopsticks, and snapped apart for regular chopsticks. Available in 6, 12 & 24 packs.

Ah Ramen, not sure which I’ve eaten more of: Ramen or Kraft Cheese and Macaroni? Ramen in instant form is the perfect food for when you don’t want to cook and really aren’t too fussy about what you are going to eat. In College I lived off the stuff. It is a two piece of flatware meal, you need both fork for the noodles and spoon for the broth (lest you slurp from the bowl). Chopsticks don’t cut it at all in my humble opinion.
In comes this wonderful piece of cutlery that I would classify as a Foon from the Museum of Modern Art. The Ramen Fork/Spoon is made from stainless steel and will handle all your Ramen eating needs. Made of dish-washer safe stainless steel it is 7 3/4″ long x 2″ wide x 1 1/2″ diameter.

We posted a week or so back about the Kuma Spork Kickstarter project. Well it turns out a very very similar product already exists and is for sale. The Eco-Friendly Stainless Steel Spork has a slightly different design with longer tines and less color options and maybe a smaller spoon bowl. But I think I like this one a little better, I wish I could do a eating test with both. You will have to decide which is better by the photos like me. This does falls under our category of Everyday Carry Cutlery.
This Eco-Friendly Stainless Steel Spork is 1/4 inches long made of 18/10 stainless steel. Dishwasher safe and Made in China.
PS – Looking at the photo, are the bowls facing up or down? Weird optical illusion 🙂

We are not the biggest fan of Kickstarter projects as so many tend to fail due to the large mass of them launching everyday. But this spork from Kuma, even if doesn’t go to production, could be created by almost anyone with a old spoon and a file.
The Kuma Reusable Spork falls under our category of Everyday Carry Cutlery and keeps it super minimal. The spoon fork hybrid has a real primitive feel to it. Choose either hardcoated anodized aluminum or stainless steel for your Kuma. I would have preferred some sort of hardened plastic or Melmac to avoid heat transfer to your fingers. Either way, check out what Kuma has to offer:
